I LOVE MY SCHOOL LUNCH HERO

School food service personnel work diligently throughout the school year to feed over 3 million children a day and serve over 590 million lunches annually, in California alone. Many of these food service employees consist of parents and grandparents themselves who care deeply about the children. They are dedicated to serving nourishing meals to their students and enjoy the opportunity to engage with them as they pass through the lunch line every day. They provide encouraging smiles and receive few accolades themselves. This is the time to recognize them as well!
