SB 490 Update, October 2022

Despite strong opposition from education groups concerned about the bill’s impact on school meal programs, the Governor signed Senate Bill 490 (Caballero) last night.

SB 490 CalSNA Opposition Letter, Sept. 2022

This bill would require all California state-owned or state-run education institutions that receive federal meal reimbursement, including public universities and colleges and LEAs.
